Fishing Competition

Taken in Krabi in south-west Thailand. The monsters at the top are sailfish and swordfish. The brown lump on the bottom row is a dogfish, related to the shark family. It all looked very impressive at the time (1992), but now reminds me of photos of lions, elephants and buffalo killed in East Africa in the early 20th century. Especially since Thailand is now running out of basic seafoods such as crab.
